Meet Red, a Reddish Egret who lives at Flamingo Gardens in Davies, Florida.  He is the most talented yogi of all the birds in the sanctuary.  

Quiet Observers

In October, I spent several days plein air painting with a group at The Beltane Ranch in California.  On the first day,  I painted figs growing on a tree, something I had never seen before.  I stepped back to observe my painting from a distance, and suddenly realized these three Clydesdale horses had come to the trough and were watching me.  For such large animals, they move very quietly.  It was a perfect day, one of many.
