1247. Peach Cobbler (Study)

I really love the composition of this floral, which is a Farmgirl Floral arrangement, painted with permission.  I will be attempting to paint it  much larger, and I'm hopeful that it will work out.

1236. As the Crow Flies

Sometimes abstracts come together with little effort and this is one of them.  I'm very happy with it, painted in my favorite limited palette.

1172. Take Me Away

As my online class wound up last week, the final assignment was to paint a series of paintings. I was missing the feelings of being in a peaceful place near water, so my mind's wanderings took me to several beaches previously visited. I chose a very limited palette and quick and free movements, which is always a struggle for me. Here is one of five. (ignore the wonky horizon!)

1142 Hidden Treasures

I really loved making this piece!  I felt free as a bird and didn't plan what was happening  at the time, but I like the end result.

1002 Remnants

With extra paint on my palette, I created this painting, and added a few suggestions in pencil that it is floral.  For a lot of years, I have wanted to paint abstracts, but my brain has trouble with that.  I am not sure if it's a confidence thing, or if I'm just stuck on painting what I see.   I'll keep trying.

This painting measures 20" h x 10" w x 1.5" d. It does not require framing, but can be hung as is.
