951 Without a Care in the World

I painted this happy little painting while in Florida for a month long get-away from the cold weather.  It was before we knew about the Corona virus and when we didn't have a care in the world.  It was such a wonderful feeling to have no obligations and no stress, a rarity.  My, how life has changed.

We are so lucky that we have a house, people to help us, and good health.  But still we worry because there is so much to worry about.  I often think that this is a test of our humanity (and definitely our patience)  and a very strong message to slow down, appreciate what we have and be kind to one another.

950. Pucker Up

Second go around for this set up since the first one sold right away.  I learn a lot from painting the same scene more than once.  This one is headed to Edgewood Orchard Gallery for their upcoming season.

949 No Place Like Home

It's been quite a while since I've posted a painting, but rest assured I have been busy at the easel.  We escaped the cold to warm and sunny Florida for more than a month, which was glorious.  I played around with paint and experimented with new subjects, just for fun.

We always have fresh flowers in our house, thanks to my thoughtful husband.  These tulips drooped beautifully exactly as I hoped.
