958 Fruit Salad

I thought I would mix it up and "look for" fruit in my black paint "spill."  This was more challenging than the previous florals, but still lots of fun. This is so far removed from my regular style of painting, but it is very liberating.  I can't help but feel these are "happy paintings" and well liked because there is so much gloom in our world right now.

902 Silence is Golden

The leaves are just beginning to turn here in the Midwest.  This is one of my favorite scenes from my favorite place to walk near Lake Michigan.  I look forward to seeing the Fall colors this year in our new location.  I doubt anything could be more beautiful than this.

This painting has sold.

881 Things Are Looking Up

Here is another painting where my inspiration came from a recent visit to Venice.  The original scene was mostly black and grey and I enjoyed employing a complimentary palette for the painting while still respecting the aged nature of the building.
